Modular FIFO Accommodation for WA Mining and Resources Projects
EcoPrestige supplies structural steel modular accommodation buildings to builders and project managers working on FIFO workforce housing across Western Australia. Our prefabricated modules are engineered for remote deployment, rated for cyclonic conditions, and supplied at approximately $2,300/m² — well below the $4,000–5,500/m² cost of local Australian modular alternatives.
We supply the building system. Your team or your preferred installer manages the site works and connections. Clean scope split, fixed supply price, 16-week production lead time from building permit.
WA Mining Regions We Service
EcoPrestige’s WA coverage spans every major resource corridor:
Pilbara: Port Hedland, Karratha, Tom Price, Newman, Dampier, South Hedland, Exmouth. Home to iron ore, lithium, and rare earth projects including Pilbara Minerals P680/P1000 expansion, MinRes Onslow Iron, and the Western Range and Southdown projects. 48 resource projects in active pipeline requiring 11,000+ additional workers by 2029.
Kimberley: Broome, Derby, Kununurra. Remote accommodation demand driven by agricultural, tourism, and resource sector growth. Long transport distances favour factory-built, road-deliverable modular systems.
Goldfields–Esperance: Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Merredin. Gold, nickel, and battery minerals projects. Established mining infrastructure corridor with consistent accommodation demand from project ramp-ups.
Mid West: Geraldton, Carnarvon, Northam. Growing accommodation demand from renewable energy projects, agriculture, and resource sector expansion in the region.
South West: Bunbury, Collie, Margaret River, Busselton, Katanning, Narrogin. Industrial, energy transition, and tourism accommodation projects.
FIFO Accommodation Module Range
Our accommodation modules are purpose-designed for FIFO and remote workforce deployment:
Orchid — 1BR Single (42.43m², 1 module): Standard single-occupancy FIFO room configuration. Kitchenette, bathroom, air conditioning, double-glazed windows. Transported fully complete in one 40ft high-cube extended configuration.
Violet — 2BR Compact (42.43m², 1 module): Two-bedroom configuration in a single module footprint. Efficient for shared accommodation programs or supervisor accommodation with a second room for office/storage.
Tulip — 2BR Standard (59.31m², 2 modules): Full two-bedroom with separate living area. Suited to site supervisors, management accommodation, and higher-grade FIFO rosters.
Acacia — 3BR (84.86m², 2 modules side-by-side): Three-bedroom configuration for longer-rotation senior staff or small family accommodation at remote sites.
Custom configurations available for larger camp deployments. Volume pricing applies for 20+ module orders.
Standard Inclusions — FIFO Accommodation
Every EcoPrestige FIFO module is factory-completed with: stone benchtops, stainless steel appliances (oven, cooktop, rangehood, dishwasher), double-glazed tempered windows, rainfall shower, hybrid LVT flooring throughout, split air conditioning pre-installed and roughed-in to the module switchboard, LED lighting, power points, data, and USB outlets. 2.4m ceiling height standard (2.7m upgrade available).
All external cladding is factory-fitted. Windows and doors are installed and glazed in factory. The module arrives on site ready to connect — not ready to fit out.
Cyclonic and Structural Ratings
EcoPrestige modules are engineered for the demanding conditions of remote WA sites:
Heavy-duty structural steel frame — RHS corner posts, X-braced panels, PFC floor joists and bearers. Cyclone C1 rated as standard. Upgradeable to C2 for exposed Kimberley and coastal Pilbara sites at low marginal cost. BAL-12.5 standard (upgradeable to BAL-40). Seismic M6.9 — covers all WA resource region sites. Bolt-down connection to SHS steel posts — no permanent footing required, supports relocatable planning outcome and camp redeployment.
7-year structural warranty. Occupancy Certificate provided on handover. Every module leaves the factory certified.
Scope Split — EcoPrestige vs Builder/Contractor
EcoPrestige supplies: Structural steel frame, all cladding, all windows and doors, full kitchen, full bathroom, flooring, lighting, power, air conditioning, shop drawings, NCC documentation, and structural warranty.
Builder/contractor scope: SHS steel posts and bolt-down connections, civil works (roads, drainage, site preparation), services connections (water, sewer, mains power to module switchboard), crane and installation, site management and OH&S.
This split is clean and documentable. Straightforward to price into project budgets. No variations from EcoPrestige once production begins.
Deployment Timeline
From confirmed order to occupancy on a remote WA site, total programme is approximately 20–24 weeks:
Weeks 1–2: Scope confirmation and shop drawing sign-off. Weeks 2–16: Factory production (16-week lead time). Weeks 14–20: Civil and services preparation on site (concurrent with production). Weeks 20–22: Shipping (ocean freight included in supply price). Weeks 22–24: Installation, connections, and handover.
Production begins at the same time your site team is preparing the pad. No sequential delays — both tracks run concurrently.
Why Builders and Camp Operators Choose EcoPrestige
The WA mining accommodation sector is competitive. What differentiates EcoPrestige is not price alone:
Structural steel — not dongas: The market is shifting away from lightweight transportable buildings toward permanent-grade structural steel accommodation. EcoPrestige’s heavy structural steel frame delivers the longevity, compliance rating, and occupant comfort expected in 2026 and beyond.
Fixed supply price: Price locked at engagement, not at permit. No materials escalation, no labour cost passthrough. Builders can present a bankable number to their clients from day one.
Australian engineering oversight: Manufacturing in China with Australian-based structural engineering oversight and QA inspection at key production milestones. Evidence of suitability documentation included.
40,000m² annual production capacity: Scalable for large camp deployments. 20-module orders through to 200-module camp builds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are EcoPrestige modules suitable for Pilbara conditions?
Yes. Our standard specification includes Cyclone C1 rating. Exposed Pilbara and coastal Kimberley sites may require C2 — available as a low-cost upgrade. BAL rating is also selectable based on site bushfire exposure. All structural ratings are documented and certified.
Can modules be relocated when the project ends?
Yes. The bolt-down connection to SHS steel posts means modules are not permanently fixed. This supports a relocatable planning pathway and allows the camp to be disassembled and redeployed at a new site at the end of the project lifecycle. This is a material advantage over concrete-footing alternatives.
Is ocean freight included in the supply price?
Yes. EcoPrestige’s supply price of approximately $2,300/m² is ex-GST and inclusive of ocean freight from our manufacturing facility in China to an Australian port. Land transport from port to site is the builder’s or operator’s scope.
Do you work with camp accommodation operators like Civeo or Compass Group?
EcoPrestige’s primary engagement model is builder-facing — we supply to the builder or construction manager running the site. If camp operators are procuring directly through their own construction arm, we engage accordingly. Contact us to discuss your project structure.
