Holiday Park Cabins Queensland Ahead of 2032: Operators and Builders 2026

Holiday park operators and the builders who work for them in Queensland have a fixed date to plan around. Visitor demand in the regions will build towards the 2032 Games, and every new cabin has to be approved, built and let before then, often without closing the park. EcoPrestige supplies engineered structural steel volumetric cabin modules, built and inspected in an offsite factory, for your builder to install between bookings.

Why modular tourism fits Queensland parks

Australasian Leisure Management reported on 24 Sep 2026 that G’day Group plans a major investment across 12 Discovery Parks in regional Queensland before the 2032 Games, including Townsville, Bargara, Mackay, Yeppoon, Airlie Beach and Lake Tinaroo. When one of the largest operators commits at that scale, independent parks along the same coast will be competing for the same guests, and for the same local trades.

A cabin built on site keeps tradies, deliveries and noise inside a trading park for weeks. A finished module arrives on a truck, is lifted onto prepared footings and connected. Guests see a short install, not a long build. Our page on modular cabins for holiday and caravan parks covers layouts across Australia.

What EcoPrestige supplies

  • Structural steel volumetric cabin modules, with the frame fabricated in the offsite factory and inspected there by the project engineer.
  • Repeatable cabin types, so a park can add a row now and match it in a later stage.
  • Decks, roof lines and finishes coordinated with your designer so the cabins suit the park, not a catalogue.
  • Frames and tie-downs checked by the engineer for the wind region of your park before we quote.
  • A supply price quoted for your site, once access within the park and the footings are known.

What does not fit

EcoPrestige does not offer design in Queensland. Some park sites also need another approach. Sites under mature trees with no lift path, flood-prone areas that need very high suspended floors, and narrow park roads that a loaded truck cannot turn in are common problems. A relocatable unit registered as a vehicle is a different product, and we do not supply it. EcoPrestige is not a builder. A QBCC licensed builder carries the head contract and the site.

The Queensland approval path

Permit drawings are issued under a QBCC licensed building designer, with the engineer documenting structure and footings. The NCC class depends on how the cabins are let and how many guests stay. Motel-style accommodation is typically Class 3, confirmed by your building surveyor. A building certifier assesses the application, issues the building approval, inspects and signs off the cabins. Where the park needs a planning change, that comes from the local council. Our page on building approval for modular buildings explains how factory inspections fit in.

The programme

Factory and site work run in parallel. While the certifier assesses the application and the builder sets out footings and services in the park, the cabins are fabricated and inspected in the factory. Installs can be booked into quieter weeks, so time on site is shorter and fewer bookings are lost. Planning now leaves room for more than one stage before 2032.

What to send us

  • 1. The park address and a site plan showing where the cabins will sit.
  • 2. The number and type of cabins, and how they will be let.
  • 3. Any drawings from your building designer.
  • 4. Truck access through the park, including gates, trees and turning areas.
  • 5. Your builder, your trading calendar and the stages you plan before 2032.
