Remote Queensland sites need staff and relief accommodation that arrives finished, because trades, freight and time on site cost the most out there. Modular units for ambulance and police relief housing, health staff and council workers are built in an offsite factory, trucked in and craned onto prepared footings, so the site works stay short and predictable.*
Who asks for it
- Emergency services needing relief accommodation beside a station for rotating crews.
- Health and community services housing visiting and permanent staff.
- Councils and community organisations adding staff housing or a community hub in a remote town.
What to settle before anyone prices it
- Wind region and cyclone rating for the exact site: it sets the frame, tie-downs and footings. It is confirmed per site, never assumed.
- Bushfire attack level and flood levels where they apply.
- Building class: relief rooms and staff housing are typically Class 1b or Class 3, confirmed by your building certifier for the actual use.
- Road access: the transport route, river crossings, wet-season windows and the crane position on site.
- Services: water, sewer or on-site treatment, and power capacity at the lot.
- Layout and room count: rooms with ensuites or shared amenities, a kitchen and living area, laundry and storage.
How supply works in Queensland
As the manufacturer, EcoPrestige is responsible for every module: built and inspected in an offsite factory to Australian engineering and QA, then delivered to site. In Queensland, the design and permit drawings are prepared under the contract of a QBCC licensed building designer or other licensed practitioner, and a local builder installs and connects the modules. EcoPrestige supplies the modules to that design, with the module grid, transport and crane plan coordinated early so the design does not have to be redone for delivery.
Timing for remote jobs
Because the modules are built while the footings and services go in, the time on site is mostly set-down, connection and fit-off. For remote towns, plan the delivery around the dry season and road conditions, and lock the crane and transport bookings early.

Frequently asked questions
Can modular accommodation be used for ambulance or police relief housing?
Yes. Relief and staff accommodation is a common use for modular units. The building class, wind or cyclone rating and site conditions are confirmed for the actual site and use by the building certifier.
Who designs a modular building in Queensland?
A QBCC licensed building designer or another licensed practitioner prepares the design and permit drawings. EcoPrestige supplies the modules to that design and coordinates the module grid, transport and crane plan.
What should we have ready before asking for a supply price?
The site address, the room count and layout you need, the building use, and any known wind, flood or bushfire information. Road access and services details help us price transport and connections accurately.
